Three Seashells - Action/Written

[Ariel's closet is getting ridiculously full. With every piece of clothing that got dirty, she got a new one rather than washing it, because the washing machine was a mystery that she couldn't figure out and didn't really want to figure out. But forty dresses and other such things in her closet? This is a little too much.

So, Ariel's in the back of the kitchen where the washer and dryer are, and she's got a frown and a squint on her face as she leans to try to figure this out. The clothes go in... here, right? Right. That's the only place they can go. And then... This detergent stuff goes in with them. How much goes in...?

Surely, the more that goes in, the cleaner it'll be, right?

...

Well.

Twenty minutes later, the entire first floor and even the bottom of the stairs of Community Housing 4 is absolutely covered with soap suds. Ariel's by the entrance of the kitchen, on her knees and trying desperately to get the bubbles back into the kitchen. It's... mostly a futile effort, so she holds her hair with both hands, unaware that she just got bubbles in it, and then she slides across the suds to get to her journal on the counter.

The image shows her looking off to the side awkwardly, before she smiles widely and writes. She's... trying to be innocent, like she did nothing wrong, but... ahaha...]

Does How Could someone tell me how the clothing cleaner works? Is that what it's called?

And [...] how to clean up a lot of [...] bubbles?

[Oh, dear, this does not sound very good at all. See, this is why Miyabi prefers to just hand-wash all her clothes, and hang them out to dry when she could. Nothing gets ruined that way, either, even if it takes longer sometimes. After a moment of looking at the written message, and the poor girl's face, she scrawls her own little message, pulling on her boots just in case.]

How much is a lot?

...you mean the washing machine?

[Uh oh, yeah. He can get an idea of what happened here.]

[Pilouette is just heading walking down the stairs, about to go out for a walk. However, when she reaches the bottom of the stairs, she's greeted by an ocean of soap suds. While she doesn't really know anyone on the first floor, she's pretty sure this isn't a normal occurrence.]

Wh-What in the world...?!

[This resident of the first floor will be stepping out of his apartment to grab a snack from the kitchen, only to find himself stepping into that enormous pile of suds. Whoops. He wonders briefly whether something exploded, then spots Ariel over there on her hands and knees and quickly makes his way to her side.]

Are you all right? What happened?

You put clothing of similar colors into the washing receptacle and add a small amount of detergent. Most models require no more than a quarter of a cup. Then you adjust the temperature settings with the nob, close the top, and set it to wash.

Towels. And a mop, for the bubbles. Preferably before they all pop and dry, otherwise it will leave a film on every available surface.

[She tries to find the source of the suds, walking into the kitchen towards the washer, still kind of half-amazed, half-freaked by all the bubbles.]

Golly, what a mess! I wonder if the washer down here is busted...? I hope not or they'll probably want to use the one on the second floo-OH!

[It would seem that in the midst of griping, Pilouette has made an important discovery: saddle shoes do not offer good traction, especially when one is standing on soap bubbles. With a squeal, she slips and lands flat on her butt.]
analyzing: (Surprise)

[action] Somehow, I think I'd pay to have a huge clusterfuck thread of CH4 people.

[Tra la la, so Rise's on her way back to her apartment, see? And her apartment's on the third floor— not that that's ever given her a problem. Three floors? Eh, she can handle it.

Except that when she pulls open the door to CH4 today, soap suds will casually just ruin her nice clean boots like...so.]

H-hey! What..?

[Blink. Oh dear.]

...B-be careful! Too much soap can ruin your clothes!

[Because clearly this is the issue here.]

Why on earth do you want to clean up bubbles? Bubbles are fun. And clean.
analyzing: (Unamused)

[action] I think that can be arranged somehow.....hngh.

[Ugh, these were brand new. She bends down to remove her boots and pad in barefooted. It's all...wet.

This is terrible.

She raises her voice and it sounds quite irritated.]

Whoever it is, you'd better clean up this mess! Gee.

[And indeed, once it's apparent to him that she hasn't injured herself in the midst of this, his eyes dart over to the kitchen, tracing the progress of the suds back towards the washing machine. Oh. So that's--]

You only need to put a small amount of detergent in. Like a cupful. [Honestly, he's rather sympathetic. This is the guy that only recently discovered how a microwave worked, after all.] ...Let me get a mop and help you clean this up.

A slightly slick, sometimes waxy, sometimes sticky substance that will leave a thin residue on the floor and walls. It depends on what type of soap was used for the bubbles.

[Keimi scratches the back of her head. What's done is done.]

Well... don't worry. I know a few secrets to getting rid of soup stains. I'm sure we can get them looking good as new.
