Three Seashells - Action/Written

[Ariel's closet is getting ridiculously full. With every piece of clothing that got dirty, she got a new one rather than washing it, because the washing machine was a mystery that she couldn't figure out and didn't really want to figure out. But forty dresses and other such things in her closet? This is a little too much.

So, Ariel's in the back of the kitchen where the washer and dryer are, and she's got a frown and a squint on her face as she leans to try to figure this out. The clothes go in... here, right? Right. That's the only place they can go. And then... This detergent stuff goes in with them. How much goes in...?

Surely, the more that goes in, the cleaner it'll be, right?

...

Well.

Twenty minutes later, the entire first floor and even the bottom of the stairs of Community Housing 4 is absolutely covered with soap suds. Ariel's by the entrance of the kitchen, on her knees and trying desperately to get the bubbles back into the kitchen. It's... mostly a futile effort, so she holds her hair with both hands, unaware that she just got bubbles in it, and then she slides across the suds to get to her journal on the counter.

The image shows her looking off to the side awkwardly, before she smiles widely and writes. She's... trying to be innocent, like she did nothing wrong, but... ahaha...]

~~Does~~ ~~How~~ Could someone tell me how the clothing cleaner works? Is that what it's called?

And [...] how to clean up a lot of [...] bubbles?

[She nods before looking toward the machine and frowning.]

Figures! Those creepy scientists bring us here and end up giving people crummy washing machines!

[Nevermind that they were provided washing machines at all or that she's never heard of any other incidents involving one. She just takes whatever chance she gets to gripe about those weirdo scientists. She's still doing her best to try to get back on her feet here.]

Well, if it's busted, there's probably somebody who can fix it. I mean, there's all kinds of people here who know about all kinds of junk.

[He spots her slipping out of the corner of his eye and bounds over, grabbing her by the arm to catch her. For a moment, he regards her very seriously--but she's okay, so his expression softens in relief.]

Careful. [He gives a short laugh.]

Will you require assistance? I am certain others that live in the same house, or complex, as you would be more than willing to help.

[She gives a smile and nod of her own.]

I'll be around all day if you want to stop by~.

[Thankfully, Miyabi found a sturdy ride most of the way from the cherry tree hill to where Ariel was, but ugh the ride was rough on her poor behind. Though graceful and pretty to watch, riding a deer when it's bounding isn't exactly a spa treatment. Miyabi grumbles, rubbing her sore bottom, and makes her way into the building and--

BUBBLES. BUBBLES EVERYWHERE.]

Aiee! [ffff.] Oh...this is worse than I thought. Uhm, hello?! Miss?

I'm Ariel. It's nice to meet you - Or maybe it will be nice to meet you!

[And when Jigen arrives, Ariel has a mop and bucket of her own, though she's holding on to the handle of the mop as she stares at the floor. What... exactly does she do with this thing? How is this supposed to clean up bubbles? It looks more like something you'd put on your head...

Before she can try that out, though, Ariel hears his voice, and she looks up at him. Yup, he looks like the way he did over the journals... So, with a sheepish smile, she shrugs and shakes her head. Nope, never.]

[Once she hears that screech, Ariel makes her way to the doorway with panic, because oh gosh did someone fall because of her? Oooh that would be bad. By the time Miyabi calls out for her, Ariel manages to poke her head around the doorway, and... oh, good, she didn't fall.

She manages a sheepish smile and a little wave. Uh. Hi.]

[...

She disappears for a second to find said bucket. Once she returns, though, she writes a confirmation.]

I found one!

[...]

What do I do with them now?

[Ariel tilts her head a little before she grabs her journal. She's not sure how to ask this without words, so she'll just scribble something in her journal before holding it out for the girl to see.]

"What should we do in the meantime?"

[Ariel gives a big, sheepish and somewhat nervous smile of her own as she nods a few times. Right. Be careful. Got it.

Once she pulls herself up, Ariel carefully moves to grab one of the rags. After that, she slowly squats down to start wiping the suds off of the bottoms of the counters - she'll move on to the table and chairs once that's done.]

I think I'll be all right. Maybe we could even make a game out of it!

[Ariel glances back at the washing machine, and she gives a slow nod. Yes. Yes, this is hers. And she's quite embarrassed about it, too.]

[Ariel gives another nod, then picks up her pen to write for her:]

It might take a while. [And a sheepish smile with the bite of her lip. It's... quite a mess here.]

Kittens!!!!

[...]

What are they?

[Resisting the urge to go for the world-weary sigh because that really wouldn't be nice...]

Do you know how to use a washing machine?

[By the time Sanji's at the kitchen entrance, Ariel is sliiiding across the floor after pushing off of the counter. She stops just a few feet away, arms up in the air as she sways to and fro, but there's a big smile on her face. She's discovered just how fun a slippery floor can be, despite how dangerous it is as well. The mop and the bucket are nearby, leaning on the very counter she pushed away from.

Once she's properly balanced, Ariel looks up at him and smiles, then waves. Hey there!]

[Instead of answering, Jack draws one for her. It looks kind of like this:

[Ariel looks at him with wide eyes, then glances off to the side while running a soapy hand through her hair and biting her lip. Oooh, he noticed... Though she does look at him with a sheepish smile, and nods slightly. M-Maybe... yes, she could use some help.]

[Pils just blinks for a second. Does this girl not talk or...? Well, at the moment there are more pressing matters.]

I guess right now the most we can do is try to clean up a little. Since it's mostly soap bubbles it shouldn't be too hard, right?

Aaah~! Like a shining pearl in the middle of a decaying desert of despair~! [Er, he gets points for impressive alliteration! And imagination. The chef starts bounding over to where Ariel is--

And proceeds to impressively fall on his ass. Ouch.]

First you need to fill the bucket with water. You can use the sink for that, but be careful - it'll be heavy when you're done.

What you do after that is easier to explain in person...

[He really hopes someone shows up to help her soon.]

That would make it less tedious work, though would you work in pairs, or in teams?

[Miyabi blinks and looks at the soapy mess with wide eyes, before she spies the young lady and (very cautiously) heads over towards her. Goodness, what could she have done to possibly make such a big mess?! Agh, this would certainly require some Divine Intervention of the Waterspout variety, but...uh--Miyabi doesn't...know that one.

Welp, this is as good an opportunity as any to practice, I guess.]

Are you the one I spoke to in the journal? Wh-What happened? No one's hurt, are they?

[That's a couple of questions that require a yes and no answer. So, instead, she just lets the situation speak for itself - she points to the washing machine, which she's turned off at this point... but there's still some suds slowly seeping out of it. That's what happened, at least.]

[Ariel does what he says: She puts the bucket in the sink and begins to fill it up with water. Once it's full, she turns off the sink and tries picking it up - oh jeez, he's wright. It is heavy. Her eyes go wide for a second as she lowers the bucket again, then she frowns to herself and squints as she lifts it up again, this time much more successful.

Some of the water sloshes out since... well, she did fill it up completely. And once it's on the floor, she straightens up and lets out a satisfied sigh. Oooooh yeah, she's strong. She's cool.

...

Now what. She looks at the mop, then the bucket. She... thinks she gets it, but... Might as well ask first.]
