One Seashell - Action

[When Ariel burst out of the sea, she had expected to still be in the water. What she wasn't expected was to be stuck up in a tree.

At least, she thinks it's called a tree. Whatever it is, she's stuck in it, and the ground is pretty far beneath her.

She leans over to cling to the trunk of the tree and stares down, wondering how she got up here and how to get down and - and is that... is that the ground?

Then she... She's on the land?

Ariel slowly looks over to her legs. Legs. Legs! She can't help stretching one out, and the shock on her face turns into elation. It worked! The spell worked! Oh, she has to find Eric now! She -

She's so happy that she very nearly falls out of the tree, and she holds tightly to the trunk again. Yeaaah, she should. Probably not move much right now, even for Eric.

Maybe someone will come along...]

[Why is she... staring at him like that? Does the concept of a town shock her that much?

Sanji's forced to replay everything he said before daring to speak and address that expression - and unless she's never worn shoes before (a-aha), there's only one reasonable explanation he can come to]

... You're a princess? [Holy shit please nod yes.]

[She had clung to his shoulders when he caught her, because even though she trusted that he'd catch her, it's still a pretty terrifying thing to fall from that high up to the hard ground below. But once he asks that question, Ariel... smiles, and lets out a long, relieved sigh.

... Oh, and she nods. She'll even lean up to kiss his cheek, as a symbol of her thanks. You know, considering she can't actually say it like she normally would.]

[Weeeell... Her smile turns sheepish, and she shakes her head slowly. Ariel's not... really sure how to describe this. How to tell someone that this is the first time she's ever used human legs?

... She'll try, at least. She takes her hand off of her shoulder to gesture to her legs, then wave her hand through the air as if to mimic the movement of a dolphin's tail... or a mermaid's, in this case.]

[Well that's okay, she doesn't know sign language either. As a result, Ariel looks a little lost from what he said, but then just waves it aside and takes a step -

Only to wobble slightly to the side, and she raises up both arms out to her sides to act as balance. Okay okay, she's got this, it's not like she's fallen over or anything. Just... okay.

She takes another step, and she sways again, as if she's walking on a tightrope instead of solid ground. BUT SHE'S GOT THIS.]

[lol oh Hiccup, YOU SAVED HER LIFE.

For a few seconds Ariel's got her eyes squeezed shut and a cringe on her face... But once she hears Hiccup, she opens one eye, then the other, and realizes that she's on the back of a dragon instead of sprawled on the ground.

She shuts her eyes and lets out a long sigh of relief, then looks up at him to nod. Yes, she's okay now... She even leans in to give him a kiss on the cheek as a symbol of thanks, seeing how she can't actually say so herself.

... And for that matter, she'll lean to the side and scoot up a bit to give Toothless a kiss on the top of his head, too. There you go. Thank you kisses for both boys.]

[Honestly, she just wants to ask if he's okay. He did smack into a tree and all...

But after a moment of uncertainty, she smiles and nods. Might as well accept his help... Maybe she can see if he's okay, too, once she's down from here. Because yes, she would very much like to get down and not fall over trying to see if he's hurt.]

[Ariel nods again in response, even though she's swaying as if she just got plopped onto a tightrope instead of solid ground. Funny, somehow she thought just plain standing would be a lot easier than this... She bites her lip a little, trying to see if she can lessen the weight somehow - aaaand that makes her grip on his shoulders tighten as she tips forward. Whoops.]

[She's still surprised, but - in an elated way, and she holds both his hands to nod a few times. Yes! She's a princess! How did he even guess that, seriously!]

A real princess? Aaaaah, forgive my manners, your majesty~! [Sanji looks as excited as she, with an unabashed grin stamped all over his face. It's like he hit the jackpot.]

I promise, as your humble servant, I'll get you situated right away~! You must be freezing dressed like that!

[Oh, good, she does understand him. Honestly, she needn't worry, he deflected the impact admirably, and he's definitely had worse. He makes a single circle around the tree, then begins climbing, pausing to carefully note the handholds and footholds he's using.

"I'll be up in a moment, and then I can help you climb down."

[Yeah. Ran Fan doesn't get it. She just stares blankly.]

What? Can you not tell me?

[The clinging is definitely something he's not used to, and it tenses him up a little because... well, this is a rather beautiful girl he's carrying here and her using him for support is quite-

... She kissed him.

Oh mon Dieu she kissed him.

Is he rigid? He must be rigid. Don't shake, Beast, don't shake, you're holding up a girl... a girl who kissed him... and she wasn't shuddering or anything... is this real? He's probably making faces... indescribably strange faces right now... she kissed him...]

[Durrhurr. She just gave him a kiss.]

[OH GODS SHE JUST GAVE HIM A KISS.]

[TOOTHLESS STOP LAUGHING YOU'RE MAKING IT WORSE]

[She is going to think he's the biggest loser the way he's totally just frozen up here, isn't she? Just his luck. He catches a pretty girl, she thanks him with a kiss, and what does he do? HE FREAKS OUT.]

[SPEAK WORDS HICCUP. SAY THINGS. STOP BEING SO--

Hey, why is she being so quiet, anyway?]

UH--um. Hi! Hiiiii. Um. My name's...Hiccup. Uh...w-welcome? Yeah.

[She's not really sure about Sanji calling himself a servant - and as a result, she places a hand on his chest and shakes her head when he says that. But - Oh, jeez, his enthusiasm is getting to her, and she can't help the motion of raising up on her toes as if to bounce -

Only to grab onto him tightly against as she pitches forward. But she just laughs - a silent one, of course, and pushes herself back up, then nods. Yes! Let's get situated!]

[Ariel nods, though she can't help holding onto the tree tighter and pressing her lips together. It's kind of nerve wracking, to feel the one source of balance shaking slightly as he climbs. Especially when her sense of balance, at the moment, is completely different from everyone else's. How is he going to help her?]

[She opens her mouth and -

... Right. That's right. She...

... Ariel glances away, then taps her throat and shakes her head. No, she can't. She'd like to, but...]

[... Okay she can't help giggling a little at the faces he's making, silent as they are. It's just a kiss on the cheek, what's so weird about that?

While he's doing that, Ariel shifts slightly, as she's quite eager to feel the ground against her feet. And sure enough, using just one of Beast's arms as support, she's down on the ground, and she stares down at her feet with a big smile.

She's... she's standing. She's standing on her very own two legs! And... okay, she's getting some help, but she's sort of standing on her own! And it feels absolutely incredible, even though her legs shake under the new weight.]

[Well while Hiccup's freaking out, Ariel just lets her fingers idly stroke behind Toothless' ear... horn... whatever that is. It's really fascinating; she never knew... lizards? Could get that big!

And once Hiccup finally speaks up, she looks at him with a smile. Heh heh, that's kind of adorable... And she opens her mouth to mouth "My name is..."]

[... Oh. Right.

She glances away, then lets out a soft sigh as she taps her throat, then shakes her head. Sorry, Hiccup, she can't exactly... say what her name is.]

[Awesome. They shall skip their merry way into town~!

... Which looks a lot more like careful walking, with Sanji taking up the lead again and helping Ariel wobble along. First stop? Clothing store! Damn if he's gonna make her walk any further in the snow.]
