One Seashell - Action

[When Ariel burst out of the sea, she had expected to still be in the water. What she wasn't expected was to be stuck up in a tree.

At least, she thinks it's called a tree. Whatever it is, she's stuck in it, and the ground is pretty far beneath her.

She leans over to cling to the trunk of the tree and stares down, wondering how she got up here and how to get down and - and is that... is that the ground?

Then she... She's on the land?

Ariel slowly looks over to her legs. Legs. Legs! She can't help stretching one out, and the shock on her face turns into elation. It worked! The spell worked! Oh, she has to find Eric now! She -

She's so happy that she very nearly falls out of the tree, and she holds tightly to the trunk again. Yeaaah, she should. Probably not move much right now, even for Eric.

Maybe someone will come along...]

[Well, there's a Sanji in the forest. Fear not, Ariel, he will rescue you soon!

... Or maybe he won't notice there's a redhead in the trees and continue speaking with the air, as if someone's with him]

I'm tellin you, I'm not that fuckin out of practice, asshole! [Mutter mutter, and then he absentmindedly kicks at the tree... she might be on.]

[... Oh hey, it's a person! She can't help staring at first, because he looks so... different! Blond and... saying very weird words that she's never heard before.

Huh.

And then he kicks the tree and AAAAH;ASKJLDFH;ALSJDH

Even the smallest shake of the tree makes her grit her teeth and hold on with wide eyes, and she opens her mouth to try calling out to him -

And... there's no sound. Mmf...

She briefly glances away, but that's about all the time she spends dwelling on it. Because she feels like she's about to fall, and she doesn't particularly want to fall, so she tries to wave one arm while holding on with the other. Pleeease notice her!]

[Nope, still not paying attention!

... Which is why a certain spirit gets fed up with Sanji's fail, and there's a spike of heat buzzing right around his head.] O-oi, what the--! [Irritated, he swipes uselessly in front of him, until the air cools and he stares up at the sky on a reflex -- probably to aim more profanities at his filial friend]

What's the big idea?!

Miss?! [Jesus Christ there's a redhead in the trees. Who looks ready to fall. This is Not A Good Thing and so Sanji does the first thing that comes to mind.

Which is... jumping into the air and grabbing her just as her grip gives. Never fear! He's got you... while still in the air, fancy that.]

[Hiccup's been a little bit better the last week about patrolling for New Feathers, and so today, he and his trusty steed Toothless are stalking around the forest looking for any lost folks who could use a little guidance.

However. Hiccup is not looking in the trees. Even if...he arrived in one, too.

But Toothless does. The Night Fury notices the redhead in the tree--oh, a girl! Huzzah! Let's help this one, Hiccup. He peers up the trunk at her, green eyes narrow with curiosity.]

[... Whoooa, what is that? It looks like a huge... lizard? That's the word for it, right? And lizards aren't so bad, so this one must not be either.

So she stares for a moment, before she smiles, leans against the trunk a little, and gives a small wave with her free hand. Hi, I have no idea who you are but you look interesting and kind of scary but still cool!]

[Hiccup. HICCUP. HICCUP. Toothless bellows to get the viking's attention, who is currently across the way, looking at a very interesting rock--]

Toothless? What is it? [He crosses over to him and follows his gaze up the tree.

Oh.

Oh, there's a girl up there.

--Oh! New Feather!]

O-oh, um--hi! Hello there! Are you alright?

[ Madoka is just walking around today, really, when she looks up and suddenly spots.. oh no, there's a girl in that tree! And she looks like she's almost falling.. oh no, oh no, time to panic. ]

U-um..! Are you okay?

[upthere]

[Ariel saw the girl before she saw her, and... honestly, it's her first time seeing a female human. So she stares for a moment before she blinks, then waves with a somewhat unsure smile. She's... well, she's kind of okay, is what she's trying to say. If being stuck in a tree is at all okay in the human world.]

[ Madoka mirrors the unsure expression, really, since she isn't so sure what is going on here.. But the least she can do is wave back! That sounds like a plan, right, just being friendly..

After the wave she forces a somewhat awkward smile on her face too. ]

[Beast finally manages to get beyond just the edge of the woods and comes into it for the first time since that strange fairy tale event all the way back in September. It's not too different from the woods near his castle, but the lack of wolves is very pleasant.

Wait... is there something in that tree? He sees red... white...

Oh, it's a girl... a very pretty girl. She... reminds him of Belle somehow, or is that just him...? Well, she definitely doesn't look as sure as Belle, but then again, she's wearing that white dress so she must be new. Is... is she stuck?]

[Maybe it's the eyes. Dat Disney-eyed look.

Ariel was just look down at the ground and wondering how to get down there when that deep voice rumbled, and she looks up to the source of it. She's surprised, yes, because she's never seen anything like that before... But more curious than anything. He doesn't seem like he wants to eat her or anything, like a shark would. In fact, he sounds kind of unsure.

So, after a moment, Ariel smiles and waves. Hello! I am stuck in a tree. You?]

[Of course, she and Beast were animated by the same person. Not that either of them know that.

Good, he's not scaring her... in fact, she seems happy.] Uh... d-do you need help?

[Ace is not just wandering around aimlessly. In fact, he was on his way to the beach. But when you're passing by a redhead in a tree? Well, let's just say that's kind of hard to miss. His eyes widen, and he immediately leaps up into the tree. Landing on a branch not too far from her, he holds out his hand.

Also there's a big scar on his chest, if she wants to point that out.]

H-hey, miss, are you okay?

[Red and white on green and brown is kind of hard to ignore, huh. Ariel sees him pretty easily, and she gives an unsure smile thanks to her position and waves slightly, but her hand slowly lowers itself when she realizes that he's leaping up.

And OH JESUS THE TREE JUST SHOOK WHEN HE LANDED LASDJFD;LJ Ariel holds on tighter and grits her teeth, since even a little shake could mean her losing her balance entirely.

When he asks that question, she chances a glance over to him, though her eyes immediately focus on the scar. Call it morbid curiosity. But there are more pressing matters at hand, so she brings her eyes up and slowly reaches her hand out with a tense nod. She's sort of okay, yes, just about to fall to the ground here.]

[Ran Fan needed to get away for awhile, but she wasn't expecting to run into anyone while doing so.]

[... Huh. This is her first time seeing a human female... Not so much different than males, huh. She'd seen pictures, but...

Oh, that's not the most important thing right now. Ariel's smile turns a bit unsure, but she still leans over to wave - and her expression turns into surprise and panic when she nearly loses her balance. Thankfully, she manages to hold on to the tree, but she still keeps her eyes wide. She's never fallen to the ground before, so she really has no idea how to respond to this.]

[Every day for the past week and a half or so, Obi-Wan Kenobi has been engaging in daily bouts of parkour. His routes have taken him through all sorts of regions- through the village, around the lake, through a random treehouse he stumbled upon earlier that week- but typically, it's been centered on the forest.

So he's pretty well familiar with the routes he uses, and he's not doing anything new today... he can kick off that stump, catch this branch, use the momentum to hit a branch on that tr-oh-blazes-somebody-is-there-

He manages not to knock her off the branch... by smacking into the trunk instead. Fortunately, he manages to roll when he hits the ground and leaps to his feet pretty gracefully. He looks up at the woman he almost hit. Young, human (or at least humanoid) female... wearing the attire Luke had informed him was typical for female New Feathers. She seemed to be stuck.]

"Hello, there..."

[OH JESUS CHRIST THERE'S SOMEONE FLYING AT HER -

AND THEN HE SMACKED INTO THE TREE -

Ariel pressed herself against the tree and cringed, eyes squeezing shut as the tree shook thanks to his collision. She very nearly loses her balance right then and there, but thankfully, her grip on the trunk makes it hard for her to just fall.

Once she scrambles to a safer position, she dares to peek over to look down at the... human who almost ran into her. He... seems to be okay...

Slowly, she lifts her hand to give a little wave. Hello... there...]

[Action]

[It's the flash of red in the otherwise white and brown world that Judith first saw. And when she's standing in the roots, she sees the red is the hair of a girl tangled up in there.]

You don't look like you belong up there.

[A playful grin matches her tone.]

[Action]

[And the unfamiliar colors also catch Ariel's attention. At that remark, though, she gives a one shouldered shrug with her free arm and a helpless smile. She catches that playful tone, and she matches it with her own tone of sorts. Oh, she likes this lady already.]

[Since Ariel has been well and saved Spike will come along afterwords, puffing idly on a cigarette. He only notices her because of her flagrant Disney coloration, otherwise lost in his own head.]

It's cold out here, you know. [He flicks the butt away from them, taking a step towards her and forging slow, steady eye contact.] Didn't your gran teach you to put a coat on?

[By now Ariel has found a modest dress, though... he's right, she isn't wearing a coat. It's not like she didn't find one, but she'd rather feel the snow and grass beneath her.

In fact, she's lying in the snow, and his voice makes her look at him, then sit up, a sheepish smile on her face while she runs a hand over her hair a few times. That was... probably embarrassing.

She's not sure about the "gran" comment, but she does brighten up a bit as she points to the wall of a building, where her coat lies as if it was dropped. It's there, it's just... not on!]

[it's the red hair that catches his attention first. Honestly, there's something about the innocent awkwardness that reminds him instantly of Willow. He stops in his tracks, watching her uncertain reactions and taking in just how lost she looks before he ambles over, hands in his pockets]

Try shuffling your feet. If anyone asks, you can tell them you were ice skating.

[Ariel has her hands against the wall at this point, just trying to figure out how to balance by herself. It's one leg in front of the other, right... It seems easy when she watches other people do it, but as for doing so herself? It's a lot harder than she thought.

At the footsteps and the new voice, Ariel stops what she's doing to look at him. And she can't help looking confused, though she still smiles. She has never heard of ice skating before, or skating in general... But she does flex her toes a bit. Is that how one shuffles feet?]
