One Seashell - Action

[When Ariel burst out of the sea, she had expected to still be in the water. What she wasn't expected was to be stuck up in a tree.

At least, she thinks it's called a tree. Whatever it is, she's stuck in it, and the ground is pretty far beneath her.

She leans over to cling to the trunk of the tree and stares down, wondering how she got up here and how to get down and - and is that... is that the ground?

Then she... She's on the land?

Ariel slowly looks over to her legs. Legs. Legs! She can't help stretching one out, and the shock on her face turns into elation. It worked! The spell worked! Oh, she has to find Eric now! She -

She's so happy that she very nearly falls out of the tree, and she holds tightly to the trunk again. Yeaaah, she should. Probably not move much right now, even for Eric.

Maybe someone will come along...]

[Finally something she could understand.]

Oh you can't talk! I'm sorry for trying to make you.

Let's focus on getting you to the village and getting you warm clothes. Would you be alright if I carried you?

[Obi-Wan is considering that same question very thoroughly. He'd thought he would just walk her through each step on the way down, but that presented a number of problems. No ideal solution presented itself, until he reached the same level as her branch.]

"... Do you think you could climb onto my back?"

[She's laughing? Why is she lau- oh no, he looks strange, doesn't he. Calm down, Beast, don't embarrass yourself.

Alright, it's easier to relax now that she's off him, though he keeps his arm firmly out as soon as she starts leaning against it.

... She looks so happy... is it because of him? (She did... kiss him, after all...) Or is it because she's on the ground? Uh oh, her legs don't look very stable... He should say something, though it'll take some effort to retrieve his voice...] Y... y-you alright...?

Y.. you can do it..! [ Madoka knows she can't do much else, and watching the girl slowly stumble and come down like this is almost like torture, especially she worries about what if she falls, what will she do, what can she do-- ]

Don't worry, it's not that far down, I promise..

[...Oh. Oh. She...doesn't have a voice? That was why she was being so quiet, then.

...But at least she can understand him. That's something! Oookay. Okay. Hiccup, you can figure this out.]

A-alright. Uhh...cold. Are you cold? We should get you into the village.

Wh-whoa! [Catching her again! Damn, Ace is getting good at this. He helps to straighten her up again.]

You not used to legs or something? [He looks down at her feet, and then toward the village.]

You're gonna freeze out. Would you mid if I carried you back to the village to get you some warm clothes?

Spike watches it all with barely contained disbelief, shaking his head at the sight. He can rely on vampire reflexes so he needn't hover, but it's still his instinct to hang close just in case. "You would think she'd never walked on her own two feet before," he muttered softly, flashing her a brief smile. He hadn't actually meant to say it aloud, but now he wondered, in the words of Cordelia, just what this bird's damage was.

[Judith cranes her neck to try and find some sort of eye contact with the tree-climbing-redhead.]

Do you need some help getting down, or would you like some company up there?

[Either way is fine to her and have their own fun to them.]

[OH MY GOSH IT'S A VILLAGE. A REAL, ACTUAL VILLAGE.

Ariel's holding on tight to Sanji's hands, but her attention is caught by all the buildings. She looks so excited, and also curious, with each one they pass by. What she'd really like to do is go into each one to see what they're like on the inside, but... well, she's pretty sure they're homes, too. And something tells her that walking into someone's home to look at things is not an acceptable thing to do, under the sea or above it.

Still, she does point at the more unique structures and look at Sanji before going back to staring at the buildings. WATCHING HOUSES GO BY HAS NEVER BEEN MORE FUN. EVER.]

[Well... Ariel would really like to keep trying to walk. But she can see why carrying would be a good option, as walking would be... slow going. So, after a few seconds, she smiles and nods. Yes, she can carry her.]

[Could she? Ariel's... not all that sure. It seems like it's taking all of her balance just to hold on, and to try to get to his back?

But, well. It's a challenge, and she's never backed down from those before. So she frowns, bites her lip and nods, then slowly loosens her hold on the tree to try holding onto his back.

She very nearly slips, but she did manage to grab onto his shoulders and hold on tight with a cringe on her face. HOW'S THAT?]

[She glances up at him to nod, but then just focuses on her feet again. Despite the wobbliness of her legs, she still moves one leg forward and sets her foot down with a sway of her hip, the way she envisions people walking on land. ... Well. It causes her to sway and hold on to his arm tightly, and it probably looks stupid. But it still makes her smile wide, because OH GOSH SHE'S WALKING. KIND OF.]

[Ariel glances back at the girl, then just tries to focus on this climbing thing. Okay, okay, as long as she sees the branches she's trying to put her foot on, she -

OKAY MAYBE NOT SLIPPING FROM ONE NOW.

...

Well. At least she's holding on with her hands. But now she's kind of hanging with wide eyes and isn't sure what to do now. Uhh... WHERE'S ANOTHER BRANCH.]

[... Village?

Well, that makes her expression light back up again. She looks curious for a second, before she gives a big smile and straightens up to nod vigorously. ... Although she does have to hold her arms, too. Yeah, it is pretty cold out here... Though it's not really as bad as how cold the sea can get.]

[She shakes her head at the first question - no, she's definitely not used to legs. And at his second, she has to pause for a moment.

What Ariel would really like to do is use her legs, walk, and get used to them, because she really can't wait to walk. But she can see why carrying would be a better option here, especially with this... cold white stuff. Snow? She wasn't quite sure.

So, after that, she smiles and nods. Let's go for the carrying option.]

But Ariel did hear that. Fortunately, she doesn't seem too insulted. In fact, he's exactly right, and she shows it by giving him a sheepish smile and a nod. This is her first time on two feet, and walking while keeping your back straight and your balance upright is much, much different than swimming through the water where buoyancy governs where your balance goes.

Somehow, she thought it'd be easier than this. Of course, Ariel expected some trouble, but... not this much.

"..Oh." Well, that made him feel like a dick, and not just because she'd heard him. Maybe she was some demon-thing and this place had given her a human body. That had to be rough; he could commiserate sort of. By proxy. Ish. "You need... any help?"

[Well, it would be nice to have company. But Ariel keeps almost falling and she'd rather have company on solid ground instead.

So, she points down at the ground with a bit of an unsure smile, as if asking if she doesn't mind helping her. Ariel could always try herself, but... well...]

No! No, she doesn't need any help. Well, she could use it, but... Now that she's had some help with walking already, she'd like to try it herself.

She holds up a hand in a stop motion and shakes her head as a result, then uses that same hand to just hold out in front of her as a form of balance. As long as she's slow, she can do it. She totally can.

He nods, shoving his hands back in his pockets, though he trails after her at a snail's pace just in case. "..Could you speak before?" A beat. "You know, this place."

[Gulp, that's a tight grip... has she not walked in a long time?] Uh... [He very slowly starts to move forward to match her pace, hopefully giving her more space for walking.] D... d-does this help...?

[Bit of a quiet girl, isn't she. Well, no matter. Judith positions herself carefully under her, digging her heels into the ground and spreading her arms out.]

Drop and I'll catch you. Promise. [Look at that trustworthy smile.]

[You'd think she'd never seen houses before! Sanji chuckles and wonders if this is a side-effect of her royal status - being stuck in a palace day and night, never knowing the outside world (heck, even if it isn't true, he finds the idea adorable). He makes a note to ask her later, once she's settled and decently clothed.]

Here we are, princess~! [The clothing store looms behind him, door closed but lights gleaming through the windows. Keeping one hand locked in hers, he briefly turns his attention to fiddle with the knob. And once it's open, he leads her inside.

Considering the size of the village, the building isn't large, giving off an almost quaint ambiance. Rows of clothing are lined back to back, all shades of the rainbow and even more types of fabric. It's small, yes, but the variety is nothing to sneeze at.]

Let's see... [Sanji's attention wanders for a second.] Where are the damn shoes...?

[With a final thought spared for how much blasted easier this would be if he could just float her out of the tree with the Force, he begins to climb slowly down the tree, careful not to do anything that could dislodge her, until finally he reaches the bottom and moves away from the tree.]

"There we are. Safe on the ground now."

[ JUST LETTING OUT A SHRIEK HERE because Madoka is sure the girl is falling, but.. okay, no, she's still hanging on. Hanging on is good. Let's keep this going. Deep breaths, Madoka, deep breaths.. ]

A-a little more to the left! You can put your foot down on a branch there..!
