One Seashell - Action
[When Ariel burst out of the sea, she had expected to still be in the water. What she wasn't expected was to be stuck up in a tree.
At least, she thinks it's called a tree. Whatever it is, she's stuck in it, and the ground is pretty far beneath her.
She leans over to cling to the trunk of the tree and stares down, wondering how she got up here and how to get down and - and is that... is that the ground?
Then she... She's on the land?
Ariel slowly looks over to her legs. Legs. Legs! She can't help stretching one out, and the shock on her face turns into elation. It worked! The spell worked! Oh, she has to find Eric now! She -
She's so happy that she very nearly falls out of the tree, and she holds tightly to the trunk again. Yeaaah, she should. Probably not move much right now, even for Eric.
Maybe someone will come along...]

And OH JESUS THE TREE JUST SHOOK WHEN HE LANDED LASDJFD;LJ Ariel holds on tighter and grits her teeth, since even a little shake could mean her losing her balance entirely.
When he asks that question, she chances a glance over to him, though her eyes immediately focus on the scar. Call it morbid curiosity. But there are more pressing matters at hand, so she brings her eyes up and slowly reaches her hand out with a tense nod. She's sort of okay, yes, just about to fall to the ground here.]
[action]
Don't worry, I won't let you fall. [He gingerly picked her up, lightly jumping from branch to branch until they were safely on the ground. Setting her down, he spoke again.] You okay?
[action]
But really, Ariel, who's lived her life in the ocean, isn't really used to such jarring motions without the buoyancy of the sea to slow it down and decrease the harshness. So she winces even with the light jumps, and she holds on tight to his neck.
Now that they're on the ground, she slides her arms away, but still keeps her hands on his shoulders as she looks straight down at her feet. Well. She does glance up enough to nod, but then her attention's caught again by her legs. Human legs... Though they're wobbling a little, unused to such weight.]
[action]
Are you okay?
[action]
[action]
You not used to legs or something? [He looks down at her feet, and then toward the village.]
You're gonna freeze out. Would you mid if I carried you back to the village to get you some warm clothes?
[action]
What Ariel would really like to do is use her legs, walk, and get used to them, because she really can't wait to walk. But she can see why carrying would be a better option here, especially with this... cold white stuff. Snow? She wasn't quite sure.
So, after that, she smiles and nods. Let's go for the carrying option.]
[action]
We'll see if we can find anything of yours in one of the shops around here.
[action]
somehow.... Oh hey, he said "shop", didn't he? Ariel looks ahead, a big smile on her face because oh gosh, she cannot wait to see a real, human shop!]
[action]
My name's Ace. It's nice to meet you, miss...?
[action]
... Ah, right. She lowers her eyes for a second in morbid realization... then lifts her head up to tap her throat and shake her head. She can't really tell you her name...
But she can mouth the word "Ariel" slowly.]
[action]
because the mun thinks that's easier.]Is your name... Ariel?
[action]
[action]
Nice to meet you, Ariel. Ah, we'll be at the village soon. [And sure enough, they can see houses in the distance.]
[action]
Human houses.
Ariel lets go of his neck with one arm and points to the houses with quite a big smile, as if she's just asking her to look because there are things she's never seen before and it's utterly fascinating. She glances at him, then keeps up the pointing - surely he's just as excited, right?]
[action]
Ah, the houses? We'll have to make sure you get settled into one.
[action]
...
Come to think of it, just where was she?]
[action]
[He smiles up at her.] Don't worry, Luceti's got plenty of nice people.
[action]
... Luceti? Ariel mouthes the word with a little frown on her face. Is that what this place is called?]
