[Ariel's closet is getting ridiculously full. With every piece of clothing that got dirty, she got a new one rather than washing it, because the washing machine was a mystery that she couldn't figure out and didn't really want to figure out. But forty dresses and other such things in her closet? This is a little too much.

So, Ariel's in the back of the kitchen where the washer and dryer are, and she's got a frown and a squint on her face as she leans to try to figure this out. The clothes go in... here, right? Right. That's the only place they can go. And then... This detergent stuff goes in with them. How much goes in...?

Surely, the more that goes in, the cleaner it'll be, right?

...

Well.

Twenty minutes later, the entire first floor and even the bottom of the stairs of Community Housing 4 is absolutely covered with soap suds. Ariel's by the entrance of the kitchen, on her knees and trying desperately to get the bubbles back into the kitchen. It's... mostly a futile effort, so she holds her hair with both hands, unaware that she just got bubbles in it, and then she slides across the suds to get to her journal on the counter.

The image shows her looking off to the side awkwardly, before she smiles widely and writes. She's... trying to be innocent, like she did nothing wrong, but... ahaha...]

~~Does~~ ~~How~~ Could someone tell me how the clothing cleaner works? Is that what it's called?

And [...] how to clean up a lot of [...] bubbles?

Sometimes I do the former, buuuut...

...A week before a very large society gathering, I dyed all of their hair pink. And had them convinced one of the others had done it.

It was a thing of beauty. They left me alone for at least a month after that incident, if I recall it correctly.

So their hair stayed pink? Even during the gathering?

[Oooh she's just trying not to bust out laughing again.]

They tried to find wigs that they liked to wear. I had...taken the time to ensure they would be unable to find any.

You're absolutely wonderful! I only wish I could do something like that!

You simply have to be stealthy and creative. The most recent prank was...actually not too terribly long ago. They were bothering Henri about how it was he chose to raise his daughter, Fleur, and in return? We had all the furniture in their bedrooms glued to the ceiling.

[SNRK] I couldn't do that, where I come from. It's even hard to do just a few pranks! My daddy watches over us all even when I don't think he can even see us!

But one time, my oldest sister told me that no one would ever want to date me if I kept acting the way I did, and the others all agreed.

I put seaweed in their hair while they were all sleeping. You should've heard them screaming in the morning!

Ah, the watchful eyes of a father. Getting around that is difficult, so it helps to have someone on your side. Henri was more than happy to act as a lookout when we were young.

...[Her own handwriting gets shaky as she laughs.]

That is fantastic!

[Ariel grins to herself; it's always nice to make someone laugh, even if she can't hear it. The shaky writing is enough for her.]

I got in so much trouble after that! But it was worth it. They kept finding seaweed in their hair all day!

Seaweed is much, much better than worms or snails.

Seaweed's much more common where I come from. I should've come up with something more elaborate...

Maybe we can trade ideas for when we get back home?

[Never mind that even if Ariel did go home, she wouldn't want to go see her family. She is on a mission and all.]

[It takes a moment before Adele can quit laughing enough to write out a reply, and well. She wouldn't be able to use anything when she returned home, but ideas were amusing enough.]

I will be more than happy to share my expertise with you anytime.

[And she is SO EXCITE. Being in a palace, she doesn't make many friends beyond other sea animals and her sisters. So this, making friends with a human... it's really exciting, and kind of nerve-wracking!]

Weather willing, I would not mind that. We could meet at Seventh Heaven or the Pizza parlor.

[Normally Adele wouldn't extend or accept such an invitation so readily but. Six older sisters. That is not something most people have to endure; and while Ariel is much younger she's right in the middle of when the teasing is at it's worst. There's an inherent bond here that should be nurtured.]

[She has not heard of this mythical thing yet.]

You have never before had pizza? I shall enjoy educating you; it is one of my favorite indulgences.

Perhaps after you've cleaned the floor of bubbles. I wish you all the best of luck with that Ariel. So long as it's done before the hour is out you should not have to worry overmuch.
